Star Recipe: Methi Mutter Malai

A sweet and creamy curry that can be a good addition to a spicy punjabi meal!

Ingredients: (Serves 4)
For Onion Paste
2 onions
4-5 garlic cloves
2 green chillies
Add all the ingredients in the mixture and make a smooth paste

For Cashew Paste 
1/2 cup cashew nut pieces
1/4 cup poppy seeds (Khuskhus)
Boil cashews and poppy seeds, cool it and make a paste (with water)
Add to the paste, 
1/4 cup cream

For the curry
1 cup milk
1 cup boiled green peas
2 cups Fenugreek leaves (methi)
3 tbsp oil
1/8 tsp Kitchen King Masala (you can use any garam masala)
1/8 tsp Dry Fenugreek leaves (Kasuri Methi)
salt to taste

Method:
1) Heat 1 tbsp oil, saute fenugreek leaves for about 5 minutes and remove from the gas to cool down
2) Heat 2 tbsp oil, saute onion paste until it becomes brownish, add kitchen king masala and dry fenugreek leaves
3) Add kaju paste, salt and milk and mix well
4) Add fenugreek leaves and green peas, mix well and cook until it bubbles
5) Serve with roti, paratha, nan or any other indian breads
