Healthy x Tasty = A Constant
This was true before we found this gem of a salad recipe on ETV's Rasoi Show. Pretty tasty for a salad! Enjoy!
Recipe:
Three Pepper Fruit Salad
First, the dressing
1 tbsp Salad oil or Olive oil
1.5 tbsp lemon juice
1.5 tbsp tomato ketchup
2tbsp fresh strawberry crush with sugar (less sugar) or tinned strawberry crush
1 tsp black pepper
salt to taste
1/2 tsp dry basil or crushed fresh basil
Add all the above ingredients in a bottle and close the lid. Shake the bottle until all the ingredients are mixed well. Keep aside.
Now, the healthy stuff
1 whole red apple diced
1 small pineapple diced
8-10 black grapes or any other grapes
1 whole guava diced
1/2 cabbage finely chopped
1 green bell pepper finely chopped
1 yellow bell pepper finely chopped
1 red bell pepper finely chopped
2 tbsp spring onions fine chopped
3 tbsp cilantro finely chopped
3-4 slices of jalapenos finely chopped

Mix all the above fruits and vegetables in a big salad bowl. Add dressing and mix well. Garnish with slices of sweet lime.
Review: The recipe works like a charm and has the right mix of sweet, sour and spicy.
Recommendation: Makes for a perfect light lunch when paired with a soup and a piece of bread.
